Overview

The Senior Claims Adjuster will play a critical role in delivering quality claim file management and an industry-leading customer claims experience by adhering to Pie’s Claims Best Practices and complying with regulatory and statutory requirements.

In Short

  • Independently handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims.
  • Evaluate and handle high dollar, high exposure, complex claims.
  • Conduct timely investigations and mitigate complex exposures.
  • Make timely and accurate compensability decisions.
  • Set reserves consistent with case facts and company practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service to partners and customers.
  • Work with TPA adjusters to drive optimized claims outcomes.
  • Mentor junior adjusters.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in negotiations for claim settlements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of workers’ compensation claim adjusting experience.
  • Active licensing in applicable states required.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information.
  • Experience with G-Suite and collaboration tools like Slack preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex tasks.
  • Able to manage legal activities during litigation.
  • Ability to mentor junior adjusters.
