Overview

The Director, Underwriting (Hospitals) is responsible for managing and analyzing a complex risk portfolio across small to mid-sized hospitals and healthcare organizations while leading a team of underwriters.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of underwriting experience, with 5 years in hospital liability/excess lines.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and management experience preferred.
• CPCU or RPLU designation is a plus.
• Knowledge of underwriting principles and insurance policies.
• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for presentations.
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
• Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
