Additive Applications Engineer - Remote

Overview

Become a driving force in the future of naval manufacturing as our embedded Additive Manufacturing SME within the Navy’s Organic Industrial Base (OIB), where you will be instrumental in shaping AM adoption across shipyards, Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), and Trident Refit Facilities (TRFs).

In Short

• Lead additive manufacturing (AM) initiatives within the Navy's OIB.
• Work directly with planners, engineers, and leaders on shop floors.
• Identify high-impact AM part candidates through analysis and inspections.
• Customize advanced training programs for Navy teams.
• Design and deliver AM training modules covering safety and quality.
• Establish new standards for industrial AM education.
• Collaborate with the Navy Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
• Orchestrate multi-site AM presence and solutions.
• Partner with Phillips AM experts to refine tools and strategies.
• Must be a current US Citizen to apply.

Requirements

• Expertise in Additive Manufacturing technologies.
• Experience in engineering and training development.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple facilities.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with Design for Additive Manufacturing principles.
• US Citizenship required.
