New Construction Trainer / Quality Assurance Designee - Remote

Overview

The New Construction Trainer / QAD role focuses on improving energy efficiency in new homes through training and technical support.

In Short

• Teach about home energy rating and building science.
• Provide technical support to RESNET Provider group.
• Deliver training programs for HERS Rater and ENERGY STAR certification.
• Develop training curriculum for both in-person and online formats.
• Conduct quality assurance for fieldwork and documentation.
• Support students and internal staff with technical assistance.
• Track program deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Assist in proposal development and client presentations.
• Maintain knowledge of RESNET Standards and ENERGY STAR requirements.
• Occasional travel required for training and program support.

Requirements

• HERS Rater or Certified Quality Assurance Designee certification.
• 3+ years of experience in building inspections or construction.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Ekotrope or REM/Rate software.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred.
• Knowledge of building science and energy efficiency preferred.
• Technical certifications such as BPI or LEED are a plus.
