Overview

The Triage Manager of Software Engineering for P4 at Perforce is searching for a software engineer to join the team, playing a key role in supporting backend technical operations and resolving customer issues.

In Short

• Collaborate with development and support teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Develop a deep understanding of the P4 Server Database.
• Analyze P4 Server -xx output for safety recommendations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues using strong problem-solving skills.
• Read and write C/C++ code for defect resolution and enhancements.
• Maintain the P4 Server codebase with fixes and test cases.
• Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of backend support or software engineering experience.
• 3+ years supporting or administering complex software.
• Strong database experience with data structure optimization.
• Expertise in crash dump or core file analysis.
• Experience with geo-distributed teams across time zones.
• Customer-facing experience in issue resolution.
• 3+ years with at least two high-level programming languages, preferably C/C++.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
