MySQL Database Administrator (EMEA) - Remote

Overview

As a MySQL Database Administrator in the Managed Services Department, you will ensure the availability and performance of MySQL databases for our customers, providing 24/7 support and delivering high-quality service.

• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to DB systems' availability and performance.
• Develop relationships with customers to comprehend and fulfill their needs.
• Perform technical work that requires planning and scheduling.
• React to incidents and provide solutions for environmental improvements.
• Work remotely with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Some travel may be required for internal meetings.
• Participate in a fast-paced environment responsible for critical systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Relational Databases.
• Understanding of Linux OS basics.
• Proficient in shell usage (bash).
• Ability to use SSH to connect to remote systems.
• Understanding of IO, load, CPU, RAM, and disk usage.
• Familiar with automation concepts.
• Basic knowledge of InnoDB internals and Performance Schema.
• Experience with tools from the Percona Toolkit.
• Deep understanding of replication models.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
