Overview

Per Scholas is seeking a Manager, Government Affairs and Partnerships to support the government contracts and partnership team in managing relationships with key state and local workforce agencies, and elected officials. This role will be instrumental in advancing our mission and accelerating growth across the United States.

In Short

  • Coordinate government affairs research and engagement activities across campuses.
  • Build and maintain a database of key national and regional government contacts.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex topics and summarize insights.
  • Draft messaging and external-facing collateral aligned with legislative priorities.
  • Support scheduling with elected officials and manage high-visibility events.
  • Log meetings with officials and share detailed notes with stakeholders.
  • Participate in coalitions and associations on behalf of Per Scholas.
  • Distribute internal updates on federal policy and funding changes.
  • Collaborate with teams on cultivating government partnership opportunities.

  • Understanding of government funding and organizational structures.
  • Strong networking skills to build relationships with government agencies.
  • Demonstrated project management and time management skills.

  • Ability to navigate government structures and engage with stakeholders.
  • Excellent note-taking and summarization skills.
  • Strong written communication skills; experience with presentations preferred.
