Senior VFX Artist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join us on an exciting project! You will bring your skills and expertise to help with various tasks and duties.

In Short

• Create/implement particle and shader FX; integrate seamlessly into gameplay/cinematics.
• Maintain artistic direction and quality.
• Collaborate with the Art Director to define artistic vision.
• Translate concept art into real-time VFX in the game.
• Supervise the creation of ambient effects that enhance the atmosphere.
• Produce work within specifications and maintain workflow pipelines.
• Provide daily feedback to improve visual quality.
• Mentor junior FX artists.
• Ensure effective collaboration with multiple disciplines.
• Conduct recruitment projects with HR collaboration.

Requirements

• Proven VFX Artist experience with stylized FX knowledge.
• Strong communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Experience with particle systems (Niagara, VFX Graph, Houdini).
• Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software.
• Ability to balance artistic direction with technical constraints.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior artists.
• A passion for action games and understanding of gameplay dynamics.
• Comfort with building FX shaders and debugging real-time FX.
• Ability to integrate legacy FX into modern workflows.
• AAA shipped title(s) experience is a plus.
