Accountant - Remote

Overview

Penn Terminals is seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for various accounting tasks including preparing journal entries, filing tax returns, and assisting with audits. The position requires a reliable commute or relocation to Eddystone, PA.

In Short

• Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and month-end accruals.
• File sales and use tax returns.
• Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.
• Perform financial analysis.
• Review monthly P&L for accuracy.
• Assist with financial and tax audits.
• Support the month-end closing process.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Provide support to the Finance Team.
• Complete other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Corporate Accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong aptitude for numbers.
