Accounts Receivable & General Accounting Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable & General Accounting Specialist to manage daily accounting operations for a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in high-performance composite materials.

In Short

• Manage accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Handle month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Assist in financial reporting and inventory-related accounting.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Prepare documentation for audits.
• Manage customer billings and process incoming payments.
• Notify customers of payment issues and manage delinquent accounts.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting.
• Experience with AR, month-end close, and audit preparation.
• Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, vlookup).
• Familiarity with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with EPICOR or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines.
• CPA is a plus, not required.
