Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Planet is responsible for generating and sending invoices, following up with customers on outstanding payments, resolving billing issues, and collaborating with sales and customer service teams to ensure efficient payment collection.

In Short

• Generate and send customer invoices and statements.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
• Investigate and resolve billing and payment issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service for accounts receivable inquiries.
• Monitor and reconcile customer accounts for accuracy.
• Manage internal escalation calls regarding outstanding balances.
• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports.
• Process and post customer payments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Propose best practices for the Accounts Receivable process.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience with collections and invoicing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of billing and invoicing processes.
• Understanding of credit and collection practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Multi-lingual abilities are desirable.
