Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for collecting outstanding receivables and providing excellent customer service in a remote setting.

In Short

• Collect outstanding receivables from insurance companies, patients, and physicians.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Work in a high-volume medical collections environment.
• Maximize collections efforts to enhance Accounts Receivable performance.
• Handle rejected or denied claims and ensure timely payment resolution.
• Maintain daily billing queues and follow up on claim issues.
• Perform daily financial transactions and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in educational opportunities to stay current on billing procedures.
• Utilize resources effectively to complete daily assignments.
• Support a teamwork environment and participate in virtual meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of billing experience required.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance billing and collection guidelines.
• Experience with AdvancedMD, NextGen, or Insync databases is highly desired.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff.
• Knowledge of healthcare legislation and regulations.
