As a Founding Machine Learning Engineer at NomadicML, you will shape the next generation of continuously improving AI systems, blending cutting-edge research with practical implementation.

In Short

• Research, prototype, and integrate new model architectures and foundational models.
• Develop and maintain real-time RAG workflows.
• Implement statistical methods for model retuning.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers on front-end interfaces and dashboards.
• Continuously refine embeddings, vector databases, and model architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML model development.
• Experience with RAG pipelines and fine-tuning APIs.
• Strong statistical background for evaluating model performance.
• Opportunity to build foundational ML infrastructure.
• Primarily in-person at our San Francisco office with hybrid flexibility.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Deep understanding of ML model development.
• Experience with RAG pipelines and similar ML workflows.
• Strong statistical background for evaluating model performance.
• Proficiency in frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow (nice to have).
• Knowledge of vector databases and scalable ML serving platforms (nice to have).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and ML workflow management (nice to have).
• Prior research background in ML (nice to have).
