Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

This role presents an excellent opportunity to work with credit, fraud modeling, data science and portfolio analytics team. In this highly visible role, you will be self-driven and passionate developing quantitative models, ongoing performance monitoring of in-house and partner models to ensure that models are working as expected.

In Short

• Consolidate disparate and large datasets for use in reporting, analytical, and modeling work.
• Mine, model, and analyze large datasets utilizing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Develop insights from historical performance data, identify opportunities, and develop solutions.
• Develop and support machine learning and statistical models for predicting credit outcomes.
• Design and deploy model monitoring frameworks to assess performance of deployed models.
• Advise senior management of emerging trends and risks.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology teams for accurate implementation of strategies.
• Conduct other ad hoc analyses as required to support team goals.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in Finance, Business, Actuarial, or Analytics related field.
• 2 years of experience in data mining, modeling using SAS, SQL, R/Python.
• Experience in the consumer credit industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid business acumen.
• Exceptional written and communication skills.
• Strong technical skills such as SAS, R/Python, AWS Sagemaker.
• Knowledge and experience with AI/ML and credit bureau data.
