Electronics Technician (Cable/PCB/Electro-Mechanical Assembler) - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician specializing in cable assembly, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and electro-mechanical systems. In this role, you will support the production, assembly, and testing of electronic components and systems, contributing to the success of cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

In Short

• Build/Assemble various types of cables, wiring harness assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies per engineering drawings.
• Precision hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components and coax wires.
• Perform quality and functionality tests of cables, electro-mechanical assemblies, and printed circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot and repair/rework of nonconforming parts.
• Provide technical support to engineers on assigned tasks.
• Assist in setting up experiments and/or tests.
• Conduct tests and experiments following established procedures.
• Work closely with technical and engineering personnel to assist in resolving issues.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required due to supporting the DoD.
• Knowledge of IPC standards and ability to pass an IPC-J-STD Class II solder test.
• Experience in IPC-A-610 Class II preferred.
• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years of relevant experience in the electronics field.
• Computer competency in MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Quality orientated with high attention to detail.
