Oscar is hiring a Senior Accountant, Statutory and Legal Entity Reporting to join our Finance Ops & Accounting team, responsible for statutory legal entity reports and financial statement disclosures.

In Short

• Remote position open to candidates residing in Hartford, CT.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Execute statutory audit efforts.
• Work on process improvement opportunities.
• Respond to regulator inquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with various teams across the organization.
• Prepare statutory financial exhibits and footnotes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of related experience on an accounting or reporting team.
• Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company is a plus.
• Experience with US-based insurance companies is a plus.
• Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA) is a bonus.
• Practical experience in statutory reporting is a bonus.
