Overview

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for managing all incoming calls, referrals, and inquiries, ensuring patient satisfaction through efficient service.

In Short

  • Manage incoming calls and referrals
  • Document patient requests in Veradigm EHR
  • Ensure patient satisfaction
  • Communicate with divisions for appointment scheduling
  • Abide by HIPAA regulations
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Manage referrals from various sources
  • Review referrals for accurate assignment
  • Contact patients for additional information
  • Assist with tracking of incoming requests

Requirements

  • Knowledge of orthopedic office procedures
  • 1 year of patient interaction experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-motivated with high-quality work
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Patient-centered outlook
  • Ability to problem solve
