Analytics Engineer - Remote

At Orca AI, we are on a mission to make shipping companies rethink the way they operate and empower their crews with AI and automation for a safer and more efficient maritime industry. We are seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to join our Data Team.

In Short

• Participate in the design and architecture of innovative data systems from scratch to production.
• Leverage modern data platforms to manage, transform, and process data for analytics initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions for model training and deployment.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL workflows for maritime data sources.
• Develop backend services for data transformations.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience as a data engineer / BI developer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with large DWH / data analytics structures.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL with advanced analytics orientation.
• Proficient in Python programming and OOP concepts.
• Experience in breaking down complex business problems into technical specifications.
• Experience in designing decision engines with complex conditional logic.
• Excellent understanding of data and schema standards.
• Experience in a Cloud Native environment, such as AWS – an advantage.
• Experience with Snowflake – an advantage.
