Finance & Accounting Lead - Remote

Orange Comet is on the hunt for a Finance & Accounting Lead to take charge of our financial operations and help build a scalable infrastructure to support growth. In Short

• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll approval, and cash management
• Own monthly close, account/bank reconciliations, and financial statement prep
• Ensure full GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls
• Oversee tax filings and interface with external advisors
• Provide annual budget planning and performance monitoring
• Lead financial reporting including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Forecast cash flow and manage budget performance
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
• Coach and manage junior staff
• Build strong relationships with auditors and investors

Requirements

• Experience in accounting and financial management
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proven leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to build relationships across departments
• Experience with tax compliance and filings
