Senior Cribl Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Cribl Engineer works in Optiv Security’s 24x7x365 Security Operations Center as a member of the Managed Security Services (MSS) team, responsible for creating procedures, implementing software pipelines, and maintaining security systems for client environments.

In Short

• Work in a 24/7 Security Operations Center.
• Focus on monitoring and observability platforms.
• Act as a primary responder for Managed Security customer systems.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other Engineers.
• Implement and maintain SIEM software and appliances.
• Develop and tune SIEM content such as correlation rules and dashboards.
• Provide remote consulting services to clients.
• Document Account Governance processes.
• Work with various security products and technologies.
• Shift flexibility including on-call support (24/7).

Requirements

• 2+ years of Cribl Administration experience.
• Experience with observability platforms.
• Knowledge of security logging for various systems.
• Experience with big data technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with ticketing and knowledge base systems.
• General security knowledge (certifications preferred).
• Ability to analyze logs from security devices.
• Experience with various security products.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
