CloudOps Engineer Consultant - Remote

Overview

Optimize Partners is looking to hire a CloudOps Engineer as a consultant to perform system administration and support on behalf of our client - a late stage B2B SaaS cloud technology company. This will be a long-term consulting project - ~ 6 months to ~ 1 year - with real potential to become a full-time permanent role. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, and according to Federal Guidelines, this consultant must be either a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

In Short

• Provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining virtual servers, operating systems software and related infrastructure within AWS
• Implements agreed-upon secure baseline configurations and assists with security impact analyses
• Performs technical research and development for infrastructure innovation
• Conducts periodic performance reporting for capacity planning
• Responds to incidents, service outages, and other problems
• Performs daily system monitoring and verifies integrity and availability of server resources
• Conducts regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions
• Co-leads CloudOps Continual Service Improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in relevant technologies
• Proficiency in Linux
• Experience with AWS
• Knowledge of Postgresql
• Familiarity with Ansible
• Skills in Bash and Python
