Overview

The Head of Major Markets (MM) is a dynamic leader responsible for the growth and development of OpenTable’s restaurant network in its top markets, focusing on new business acquisition, account retention, and revenue growth.

In Short

  • Grow revenue through new sales acquisition and retention of accounts.
  • Lead a dispersed Sales and Restaurant Services team.
  • Manage District Managers/Directors for pre- and post-sales teams.
  • Improve sales processes and customer experience.
  • Handle team performance to meet regional goals.
  • Recruit and train top-performing sales teams.
  • Represent OpenTable to high-value accounts.
  • Coordinate with key departments for sales leadership.
  • Design and present strategic plans with P&L responsibility.
  • Participate in executive decisions related to pricing and initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales/business development leadership.
  • Experience in fast-paced tech organizations; restaurant experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the restaurant industry and customer trends.
  • Proven track record of sales success in SaaS or start-up environments.
  • Experience with financial/sales modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • College degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Open to remote applicants willing to travel.
