Overview

The Head of Major Markets (MM) is a dynamic leader responsible for the growth and development of OpenTable’s restaurant network in its top markets, focusing on new business acquisition, account retention, and revenue growth.

In Short

  • Lead the restaurant sales and service leadership team.
  • Grow revenue through new sales acquisition and account retention.
  • Manage District Managers and Directors.
  • Improve sales processes and customer experience.
  • Define characteristics of top performers and build a motivated team.
  • Represent OpenTable to high-value accounts.
  • Coordinate with key departments for sales leadership.
  • Design and present strategic plans with P&L responsibility.
  • Participate in executive decisions related to pricing and corporate initiatives.
  • 30-50% travel expected.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales/business development leadership.
  • Experience in a fast-paced tech organization; restaurant industry preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the restaurant industry and customer trends.
  • Proven track record of sales success in a SaaS or start-up environment.
  • Experience with financial/sales modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • College degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Open to remote applicants willing to travel.
