Interpreter - Remote

Overview

The Interpreter is responsible for facilitating communication for the limited English Proficient (LEP) community and the practitioners that serve them in a variety of settings. This contract position is flexible and an opportunity to expand your interpreting business with access to many sessions/appointments per day.

In Short

• Providing accurate translation of documents involving law enforcement and legal subjects.
• Transcribe audio files and translate them into target language.
• Communicate fluently in English orally and in writing.
• Translate in accordance with designated style and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proficient in translating between English and a foreign language.
• Proficient in interpreting between English and a foreign language.
• Experience in audio transcription.
• Experience as a professional translator, editor, transcriber, interpreter, journalist, writer, or legal professional.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Willing to undergo a US government background check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
