SOC Analyst I - Remote

Overview

The SOC Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, identifying, and eliminating customer security alerts, events, or incidents. The desired candidate must document any situation completely, and thoroughly.

• Respond to alerts, events, and incidents per specified procedures.
• Log and record all alerts with the ticketing system.
• Identify weaknesses in customer infrastructures and suggest improvements.
• Handle security events, incidents, and threats with technical and analytical skills.

• Stay updated on the latest vulnerabilities and threat information.
• Operate, implement, and maintain security solutions.

Requirements

• SOC/NOC/Blue team experience preferred.
• Programming/Shell scripting experience preferred (PERL, Python, Java, Shell, PowerShell, etc.).
• System Admin or Network Administrator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of configuring and implementing technical security solutions preferred.
• Strong desire to continuously learn.
• Customer-oriented focus.
• Solid understanding of networking and security.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Understanding of varying Security standards.
