Accountant - Remote

Overview

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong in accounting principles, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes continue to evolve. The Accountant will help translate complex operational activity into accurate financial reporting, while also improving internal controls, documentation, and automation workflows.

In Short

• Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP.
• Drive financial analysis by identifying variances and discrepancies.
• Improve and scale accounting systems and processes.
• Oversee finance operations including invoice approvals and payment processing.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance leadership and external stakeholders.
• 4+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Experience with accounting systems and payment platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606 familiarity preferred).
• Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Salary: $80,000-$95,000 with an annual bonus of $10,000 paid quarterly.
