Lead DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an exceptional Lead DevOps Engineer to join our high-velocity team and help build best-in-class global consumer AI video technology from the ground up.

In Short

• Architect and lead the implementation of a fully mutable, distributed infrastructure across AWS and RunPod.
• Develop and maintain cloud- and provider-agnostic deployment strategies.
• Own and evolve automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives using modern open source tooling.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and secure deployments.
• Establish world-class monitoring, observability, and performance tuning for large-scale distributed systems.
• Support AI workloads, including GPU-based compute for generative models and real-time video generation.
• Work closely with ML engineers, data engineers, and product teams to support dynamic and high-throughput workloads.
• Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, continuously improving system reliability and scalability.
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, and hybrid or distributed architectures (e.g., RunPod, on-prem, multi-cloud).
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CDK).
• Expert-level understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Passion for open source technologies and proven track record of integrating them into production systems.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices and experience implementing robust, automated pipelines.
• Strong focus on security, compliance, and resilience in cloud-native environments.
• Experience scaling and optimizing high-performance, low-latency systems for global audiences.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in high-stakes, rapidly evolving environments.
