Overview

The Manager, Systems Engineering supports the mission of OCHIN by providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the Systems Engineering function to drive high-quality outcomes and deliver sustained value to the OCHIN collaborative.

• Owns the reliability, performance, availability, and lifecycle management of a 24x7 production infrastructure environment.
• Sets, enforces, and continuously improves platform standards.
• Leads, develops, and motivates a team of Systems Engineers.
• Ensures effective 24x7 operational coverage.
• Owns infrastructure incident response and risk management.
• Partners with application owners and cross-functional leaders.
• Establishes team priorities aligned to organizational goals.
• Monitors and reports on service performance metrics.
• Communicates infrastructure performance and changes clearly.
• Identifies and implements process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or operations.
• 3–5 years of people management experience.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Proven ability to lead teams responsible for 24x7 services.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with ITIL-based processes.
• Experience managing infrastructure costs and vendor relationships.
• Experience in healthcare IT environments preferred.
