Overview

The Apprentice Epic Clinical Analyst is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on experience in supporting the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications.

In Short

  • Support customization and configuration of Epic applications.
  • Observe and document clinical and administrative workflows.
  • Participate in testing new builds, upgrades, and patches.
  • Help troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems.
  • Assist in creating user guides and training materials.
  • Maintain detailed records of system changes and workflows.
  • Work closely with experienced analysts and clinical teams.
  • Engage in training and development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of an OCHIN workforce training program or similar experience preferred.
  • Epic proficiency in Clinical Applications must be obtained within 60-days of employment.
  • Interest in data analysis, problem solving, and continuous learning.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare operations and EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Competency assessment required prior to team interview.
