R&D Engineer 3 (Electrical Design) - Remote

Overview

This position is responsible for the design engineering of electrical systems, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Coordinates design of electrical systems for microgrids and Data Centers
• Establishes project requirements and develops project schedules
• Creates and reviews electrical system design work products
• Performs interdisciplinary reviews of work products
• Ensures compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requirements
• Reports to the Computational Innovation Manager
• Participates in project management and team collaboration
• Adheres to safety culture and quality assurance standards
• Communicates effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Adapts to changes in work environment and project demands

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required
• 5 years of experience in the commercial power industry
• Knowledge of electric power distribution and energy storage
• Experience with ETAP for power system analysis
• Understanding of I&C systems and SCADA
• Project management skills
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy regulations
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Commitment to quality assurance regulations
