Junior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of accounts payable, expenses and bank/account reconciliations.

In Short

• Post credit card transactions and vendor invoices into the accounting system
• Prepare vendor and corporate credit card payments
• Review and process expense reports
• Reconcile GL accounts for month-end
• Post bank transactions and complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain/update files and payment information of vendors
• Correspond with vendors and internal staff to resolve payment disputes
• Respond to AP inquiries from internal and external parties
• Assist with bank and investor reporting needs
• Support the corporate and UK audit

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Strong technical skills and previous experience using an accounting software system
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills
• Friendly, helpful and service-oriented disposition
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, possess good judgment and uphold confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Intacct and Yooz/Concur an asset
