Security Engineer - L2 - Remote

Overview

The Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing managed services to clients, ensuring their Security Infrastructures and systems remain operational through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.

In Short

• Proactively monitor work queues and resolve incidents/requests.
• Provide second level support for incidents and requests.
• Communicate with other teams and clients for support.
• Execute changes with risk identification and mitigation plans.
• Audit and analyze incident tickets for quality improvements.
• Identify problems before they impact client services.
• Assist L1 Security Engineers with initial triage.
• Contribute to change management processes.
• Produce trend analysis reports for automation opportunities.
• May support project work and disaster recovery functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/Computing.
• 4+ years of relevant managed services experience.
• Certification in CCNA, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or Fortigate NSE.
• Moderate knowledge of ticketing tools, preferably Service Now.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Experience working with vendors and third parties.
• Ability to communicate across different cultures.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive outlook in a pressurized environment.
• Active listening and client-focused interaction skills.
