Overview

The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing managed services to clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure remains operational through proactive monitoring and resolution of technical incidents.

In Short

  • Provide second-line support for incidents and requests.
  • Proactively monitor work queues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with teams and clients to extend support.
  • Escalate tickets as needed and manage initial client escalations.
  • Contribute to change management processes and audits.
  • Identify problems before they impact client services.
  • Work with automation teams for optimizing efforts.
  • Coach Service Desk and L1 teams on technical skills.
  • Produce trend analysis reports for automation tasks.
  • May support project work as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent experience.
  • CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • Moderate level of managed services experience.
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools, preferably Service Now.
  • Ability to communicate across different cultures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with network management tools.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies such as VPNs and firewalls.
  • Experience with common routing protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
