Junior Web Developer Intern - Fall/Winter 2025 - Remote

In Short

• Interns will receive hands-on experience and mentoring in web development.
• Training includes modern coding practices and development workflows.
• Work within an Agile (Scrum) environment.
• Exposure to NPR’s digital products and technologies.
• Contribute to feature development for NPR.org.
• Support users through maintenance and production issue resolution.
• Assist in quality assurance efforts, including testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Work under close supervision of the host team.
• Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Experience with at least one programming language.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with web development technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Back-end development experience with PHP is a bonus.
• Working knowledge of MySQL or other databases.
• Experience using Linux-based development environments.
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems.
