In Short

• Program Duration: October 6, 2025 - April 17, 2026
• Intern will work on information graphics, data visualizations, and special story presentations.
• Collaborate with reporters and editors in the newsroom.
• Work on archiving 20+ years of NPR's digital content.
• Develop NPR’s first web archive.
• Conduct research for best practices on preserving interactives.
• Work under close supervision of host teams.
• Flexible working hours during Monday-Friday daytime hours.
• Interns can work remotely or from NPR's Washington, DC office.
• Compensation: $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience making graphics and designing for the web.
• Familiarity with digital preservation and data management.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and data analysis.
• Must be a current student or recent graduate.
