Scriptwriter - Contract - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Scriptwriter - Contract to help develop a variety of prototype lesson formats, focusing on writing engaging scripts and activities for K-5 students in social studies.

In Short

• Develop engaging content for K-5 students.
• Research historical, geographical, and civic topics.
• Write clear and playful kid-facing scripts.
• Create activities that encourage student participation.
• Collaborate with visual storytellers and curriculum experts.
• Iterate on lesson prototypes based on feedback.
• Help shape the program's tone and storytelling style.
• Balance humor and seriousness in educational content.
• Deliver content that is historically accurate and engaging.
• Work remotely on a contract basis for an initial 6 months.

Requirements

• Classroom experience with K-5 students or curriculum.
• Experience developing classroom activities.
• Familiarity with social studies topics and standards.
• Background in writing for children (curriculum, podcasts, etc.).
• Experience writing for video or interactive media (preferred).
• Able to work Pacific time zone hours.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
