Underwriting Assistant - Remote

In Short

• Resolve technical and non-technical inquiries from agents, brokers, and insureds.
• Work closely with the Underwriting team for new and renewal business files.
• Manage documentation for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Diary important dates and deadlines for underwriting.
• Deliver quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements to agents and insureds.
• Issue formal notices for policies as necessary.
• Assist in onboarding customers and facilitate communication with external partners.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of underwriting/operations experience in the insurance industry.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.
• Owner mentality with accountability for actions.
• Ability to work in high-growth, ambiguous environments.
• College degree preferred but not required.
