ASIC Physical Design Lead - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced ASIC Physical Design Lead to drive the implementation of complex SoC designs from RTL handoff through tapeout.

In Short

• Lead all physical design activities from RTL handoff to GDSII delivery.
• Define execution strategy, schedules, and design methodology.
• Architect and execute floorplanning strategies for large SoCs.
• Collaborate with architecture and RTL teams for physical feasibility.
• Lead block-level and top-level Place & Route using EDA tools.
• Drive timing convergence and optimization for PPA.
• Implement clock tree synthesis and physical verification.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers.
• Set physical design quality standards and conduct design reviews.
• Champion continuous improvement in design methodology.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in ASIC Physical Design.
• Expertise in floorplanning, Place & Route, and timing closure.
• Proficiency with Cadence and/or Synopsys tools.
• Strong understanding of RTL-to-GDS flows.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
