Overview

The Patient Care Assistant II plays a vital role in supporting patient care in the Mother/Baby unit at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, working under the supervision of registered nurses to ensure a safe and compassionate environment for patients.

In Short

• Assist in clinical support functions for patient care.
• Perform patient care-related duties including vital signs and EKGs.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked and cleaned appropriately.
• Assist patients with their daily needs, including feeding and mobility.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient conditions.
• Participate in specimen collection and documentation.
• Work two 8-hour night shifts every other weekend and holiday.
• Must have 1-2 years of healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Requirements
