Principal DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

NearSource is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Services and Emerging Technologies group focused on Developer Enablement. This role drives initiatives that empower internal and partner developers to build, deploy, and scale high-quality cloud-native applications using enterprise-grade developer tools and frameworks.

In Short

• Lead efforts to standardize service deployment configurations.
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard them onto internal developer platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and support for developers.
• Build and maintain developer enablement solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with partner teams.
• Maintain documentation for platform services.
• Collaborate to ensure tools meet developer needs.
• Contribute to cloud-native product development.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Strong background in automation tools like Jenkins.
• Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expert in cloud network architectures (L4/L7).
• Proficient with Service Mesh technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Python or Node.js.
• Skilled in automating build and deployment workflows.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
