Senior Technical Consultant Backup Infrastructure - Remote

Overview

The position is to be filled at one of our locations or remotely throughout Germany.

In Short

• As a Backup System Engineer, you are responsible for the analysis, optimization and development of our Backup-Infrastructure and virtualization environments.
• You are involved in the further development of our highly available Backup-Infrastructure landscape and design IT landscapes and IT processes.
• You will also be involved in the following project topics: Data center migration, virtualization, automation and cloud computing.
• You provide 2nd and 3rd level support in infrastructure for our existing customers and advise their departments on technical problems.

Requirements

• You have completed training as an IT specialist or have a degree in (business) informatics.
• You already have professional experience as a system engineer and knowledge in the following topics: DELL/EMC Power Protect, DELL/EMC-Networker, DELL/EMC Data-Domain, DELL/EMC Elastic Cloud Storage, Backup-to-tape, Veeam or similar Backup Solutions in Hybrid-Cloud Scenarios.
• Your mindset is solution/process-oriented and analytical, and you have strong methodological skills. Distinct customer orientation and the ability to work in a team as well as a convincing appearance round off your profile.
• You speak fluent German (B2) and good English (B1). Team meetings will be held in English.
