Senior Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Global Network Services team is seeking to augment its existing resources and expertise with an intermediate to senior level contract Network Engineer located in Japan. The team is responsible for architecting, delivering, securing, and operating the global network and security infrastructure.

In Short

• Installation, maintenance, and support of Network and Security Infrastructure.
• Analytics, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex Network and Security Infrastructure issues.
• Administer company data security policies.
• Provide support for IT functions and end users.
• Lead small technical projects.
• Serve as a contact to vendors.
• Make recommendations for system performance improvements.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Work with Cisco network technologies.
• Handle customer communications effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in Network and Security technologies.
• Extensive experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS.
• Routing and Performance Experience with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• Experience with Service Providers for Layer 1, 2, 3 issues.
• Customer service skills and experience with Enterprise Ticketing systems.
• Cisco Certifications CCNP or equivalent preferred.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN, Firewalls, and Cloud technologies.
• Ability to work within a global organization.
