Overview

The Ship Security Officer (SSO) is responsible for ensuring the security of cargo container vessels, implementing and maintaining the ship security plan, and enhancing security awareness among the crew.

In Short

• Responsible for vessel security as appointed by the company and ship’s master.
• Implement and maintain the ship security plan.
• Liaise with the Ships Officer and Crew for effective communication.
• Respond to and report threats and risks to the Company.
• Ensure crew is trained to maintain high security levels.
• Enhance security awareness and vigilance on board.
• In-house training provided for those without previous maritime experience.
• Work in South America.
• Full-time position.
