Staff Security Engineer - Identity and Access Management - Remote

Overview

An experienced Staff Security Engineer is needed to shape and implement identity management strategies to protect access to all systems of Marqeta.

In Short

• Build and grow the Identity Governance and Administration program.
• Implement Privileged Access Management in a Cloud First environment.
• Architect and design a Certificate Lifecycle Management service.
• Develop and implement robust IAM strategies and architectures.
• Integrate IAM systems with cloud applications and IT services.
• Automate provisioning and role management processes.
• Maintain systems for SSO, MFA, and password management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on IAM best practices.
• Lead IAM-related projects with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and streamline IAM processes.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proficiency in IAM tools (e.g., Okta, CyberArk).
• Strong knowledge of identity governance and cloud-based IAM solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC 2).
• Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills.
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Deep understanding of protocols like SAML and OAuth.
• Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with scripting languages for automation.
• Experience troubleshooting access issues in cloud environments.
