We are seeking a capable and highly motivated Senior Engineer for our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure platforms, effectively manage complex business-critical systems and deliver high-quality service to internal customers. You will join a talented team of SRE engineers and collaborate closely with teams across the organization to deliver on Motional’s mission.

In Short

Develop and implement strategies to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
Lead the response to high-severity incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams.
Partner with DevOps teams to analyze and optimize AWS spend.
Mentor and guide junior team members.
Collaborate with global teams to automate operational tasks.
Stay abreast of the latest industry developments.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent AWS Certifications.
5+ years in SRE, DevOps or related roles.
Strong experience with AWS Cloud Platforms.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of networking topologies.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem solving skills.
