Overview

Moog is looking for a Mechanical Systems Engineer to develop flight control and weapons bay actuators for next generation military aircraft, offering a hybrid work schedule.

In Short

  • Key contributor to aircraft flight control actuator projects.
  • Develop, integrate, and verify hydraulic and electromechanical actuators.
  • Coordinate design discussions across development teams.
  • Create and communicate design requirements.
  • Support verification and validation approaches.
  • Develop test plans and procedures.
  • Document test results and requirements verification.
  • Travel 5-15% to other sites.
  • 9/80 work schedule with hybrid option.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience with aerospace development programs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Experience with aerospace actuator architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools.
  • Test experience with electric/hydraulic systems.
  • DoD Secret clearance or ability to acquire one.
