Senior Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) - Focus on Poland - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes for employees in Poland and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

In Short

• Introduction of a new internal payroll software and transfer of payroll processing from an external tax office to the company.
• Independent execution of payroll for all employees in Poland.
• Ensure compliance with all labor, tax, and social security regulations.
• Communication and collaboration with authorities (e.g., ZUS, US).
• Close coordination with HR and Finance to ensure correct data and reporting.
• Point of contact for employees regarding salary and benefits inquiries.
• Support during audits and preparation of payroll reports.
• Advising on payroll policies and legal changes in Poland.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical experience in Polish payroll processing.
• In-depth knowledge of Polish labor law, tax law, and social security system.
• Proficient in Polish payroll software.
• Fluent in Polish and very good knowledge of German or English is required.
• Good Excel skills and experience with HRIS are advantageous.
• A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
