Senior Analyst, Medical Economics - Remote

Overview

The Senior Analyst, Medical Economics provides support and consultation to the Health Plan and Finance team through analyzing key business issues related to cost, utilization and revenue for multiple Molina Healthcare products.

In Short

• Analyze key business issues related to healthcare costs and utilization.
• Design and develop reports to monitor health plan performance.
• Conduct complex analyses of insured medical populations.
• Extract and compile information from various systems.
• Mine and manage information from large data sources.
• Work with clinical and provider network personnel for data insights.
• Perform pro forma sensitivity analyses for cost improvement initiatives.
• Identify and investigate complex medical cost issues.
• Communicate actionable conclusions and recommendations effectively.
• Support Financial Analysis projects related to medical cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in healthcare.
• Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Experience with building dashboards in Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations and financial terms.
• Ability to analyze financial, operational, and utilization metrics.
• Experience in quantifying and measuring healthcare metrics.
• Ability to mine and manage information from large data sources.
