Community and Events Manager - Remote

Overview

Modal is building the serverless compute platform to support the next generation of AI companies. We have deeply technical roots and have built up a significant amount of proprietary infrastructure—including our own custom file system, container runtime, scheduler, container image builder, and more—to craft a world-class developer product.

In Short

• Join Modal as the first community and events lead.
• Plan and execute in-person developer events in the Bay Area.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and developer relations teams.
• Generate creative ideas for various types of events.
• Build relationships with potential event partners in the AI ecosystem.
• Own promotion and coordination for events.
• Represent Modal's product and brand effectively.
• Set objectives and measure outcomes for engagements.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a marketing role at a tech company.
• Passionate about the AI developer community.
• Energetic and social, with strong relationship-building skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Willing to work in-person in the SF office.
