The Coder I - Ancillary Coding & Claim Edits position is responsible for coding outpatient facility clinic and diagnostic healthcare records, ensuring accurate classification and validation of medical codes.

Requirements

  • Completion of an AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding program
  • 1 year of outpatient coding experience required
  • Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or similar certification required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking skills are essential
  • Ability to adapt to change and work with interruptions
  • Comfortable in a 100% virtual environment
